Inverter CompatibilityUpdated a year ago

Although the sharpener uses less than 200 watts, we've found that many 300-watt and even 500-watt inverters don't work reliably with the sharpener. We've also observed that approximated sine waves are less likely to work than pure sine wave devices. Since inverters and vehicles vary, there is no guarantee that any particular one will work with the sharpener. We typically recommend using an inverter with at least a 400-watt rating and a pure sine wave output. However, even then, there are no guarantees.
